On Saturday, Precious and I went to the dressage competition at Twin Trees in Northill. I entered into both the walk trot and canter test.
It was a really hot day so I was glad that we didn’t have to go far with Precious. When we arrived at Twin Trees Daddy parked so Precious had some shade when she got off. I helped mummy tack up and got into my show gear – it was great because I didn’t have to wear my jacket π. I took Precious to the warm up arena and waited to be called in when I saw that Charlie, Katie and Lacey had come to watch me ride π. My first test was the walk trot test which I had chance to practice with Sally earlier in the week. Precious was amazing and I smiled so much my face hurt when I came out.
So next it was onto my canter test, which I had never even seen or practised π – we were a late entry. I was a bit worried because I had never done a canter test at a competition, but I felt ok because mummy was calling it for me. I went into the arena and Precious was amazing again. We did everything we were meant to do and it was easier than I thought it would be.
We took Precious back to the trailer to be untacked where she got 2 polos π€©. I put my shorts back on and skipped over to the office to get my results……..
I came 1st in the walk trot test with 72.7% and 4th in the canter test with 68%! I was so happy and proud of my pony. Daddy bought us all a rocket lolly each and Grammy gave me Β£5 for being brave and trying a canter test ππ».
Then we had to quickly jump in the car so we could get back to watch the football!
I feel very happy tonight I can’t wait until I break up from school so I can ride my pony everyday.
Thanks for reading!
Lots of love from Violet π¦ππππ¦π΄xxxx
